Iris CE Prototypes
These are prototypes of the Iris CE that we've made during the design process that still work just as well as the production versions.
There are two designs of the case that were made, so here are the details for each:
Design #1
With Design #1, the switch plate sits on top of the tray. The primary issue we found with this design is that if you screw the switch plate on too tightly, the sides of the plate pops up a little bit. The USB cutout is also just a large 'U' channel, instead of something that covers the port a lot more. Includes FR4 and POM plates.
Design #2
Design #2 is nearly identical to the final production version of the Iris CE aluminum tray, where the plate sits inside of the tray instead of on top of it like Design #1. There are two differences: 1) USB-C cutout is a bit smaller, but is still large enough for normal usage, 2) The plates are a little bit more tighter fitting in the tray than the final production plates. Plate will either be FR4 or aluminum (this is random).
